3rd Row Seats

Clate Mask of Infusion Soft gave Bret 3rd row tickets to the last Suns game of the season as a gift for passing all his CPA exams. Can I just tell you how timely this gift was? Not only was I itching to get out of the house and spend time with my sweetie but I was in the mood to be around lots of people. Wish granted :) We are so lucky to receive such generous tickets and to have amazing friends who could babysit last minute. 3rd row was definitely an experience to remember. I could even get close ups of the players with my compact camera. We also got to go to the Toyota club before the game and at half time. Yay free food and drinks! I'm so glad I get to reap the rewards of all Bret's hard work.

Dear Hope

Dear Bret,
You do not know me at all but my sister Lori is the jeweler that created the mother's necklace for your wife. My sister shared your family blog with me and your wife's reaction to the necklace. It was one of Lori's proudest moments as an artist to be able to be part of something like that and your gesture made us realize that both of our husbands hopelessly unromantic!
I am writing you because we have had some horrible news. My sister who is pregnant with her fourth child has just been diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma and has started treatment for this disease. She has had to close her jewelry business until her recovery and it was heart breaking to her.

I have started a fundraiser that I would be honored for you and your wife to participate in. There are bracelets I designed and I would love for those who know her personally or have been touched by her art to have one, make a donation to the lymphoma research foundation and to send me a picture so I can put together a little surprise film for her. this would be ready for her in time for her to deliver her baby girl...who in my mind I have named HOPE.

I have visited your wife's website in photography and Whippycake and am a huge fan. I hope you will join me in helping my sister feel loved, supported and inspired to continue on her journey of recovery.

Please visit my blog www.dearesthope.blogspot.com

I hope to hear from you.

Lyra Repplinger

Bret passed this email on to me and I was so touched. We would love to help as much as we can so if any of you friends would like to support their cause let me know and I can make it happen. I also plan on selling her bracelets at my booth in May. Thanks for reading.

Which she is me?

People have frequently commented that Kb and Lo look just like Bret and so I have started to feel sad that my kids have only small parts of me in them. However, once I obtained these baby pictures of me from my dad my confidence was rewed.

I knew I recognized Lo's chubby cheeks from somewhere. Look at those fatties!
Our smiles are one in the same. I see Lo smiling at me in this picture.

This is where I pig out {not much changes in 24 years} Sadly, Kingston has picked up on my habit for food and so you will recognize similar pictures of him chowing down on treats that toddlers should not be eating.

I still have a secret passion for Mcdonal's soft serve ice cream. {don't tell Rennai}

This is my bigger sister Missi holding me. I look happy don't I? Probably because I had just found out I had 4 older sister to love me and look out for me. I wish I could remember all the times they held me or played with me. {these sweet things have I over looked and taken for granted} I owe them so much for all they put up with because of me.
Here is where I am really impressed. Mom already has 6 kids and is pregnant with Twins yet my parents still had time to make the new babies (Brad and I) an exciting thing for the older kids. How lucky were we to have such fun and creative parents! Wish we could play again like we did back then.

My other half

Can you have more than 1 other half? I was born with a twin who has been my other half my whole life and then I married Bret who quickly became my other half (the responsible, logical, patient, good looking, smart and spiritual half) To answer my own question I would say "Yes!" and oh boy does that make me lucky!

I asked my dad for some baby pictures of me to compare to Lo and he sent me a whole bunch of treasures to behold. As I was looking through these pictures my breath caught as i thought of my twin brother Brad (or B*rad as I like to call him). He is pretty close to being the cutest little boy I ever did see (he's tied w/ Kingston)
He is so adorable, I look more like a boy than he does so in case you are wondering he is the one on the right. I like him a lot... enough to hold his hand even. I am so glad he is my friend.
so much I liked to be near him (or on him) Sorry brother but thanks for sharing with me.
{I am pretty sure Kingston looks like him in these pictures.}
I wish I was a little kid again. I wish we could be small and innocent and play together all day and make messes we don't have to clean up. On the other hand I didn't have hair or Bret back then so I guess I am ok with where I am at now.

What could I have possibly done to have 2 other halves! I Love them.

Feedback?

I wanted to start a new line of Twilight shirts using a new fabulous technique and then do away with my old felt applique Twilight shirts. Bret suggested I get some feedback first. I don't like that the applique shirts require hand washing and I love how crisp the newer styles are but what really matters is what you think. Which style would you prefer? Which design is your favorite? How do you feel about the silhouettes and the wording? Please share :)

Nice Work

Health Choice Arizona sent me this letter a while ago about how important prenatal care is blah blah blah along with a chart to be filled out by my OB. So the deal was if I went to a minimum of 6 prenatal visits and 1 follow up appointment and had the dates and my info recorded and signed by the physician then they would send me TWO $50 gift cards. I guess they weren't lying because I got the gift cards today. Yay for having other people sign a piece of paper and getting free stuff!

First smiles

Lo has started smiling more and more this week. It's still in the "I don't know how to do this yet so sometimes my smile looks funny" phase but she saves her sweetest smiles for daddy. I can't wait to see more and more of her personality but for now I am content with having a super easy baby.

Let the fun begin

Have I mentioned that Kingston is up to no good? If it's quiet at my house something is being ripped apart, squished, eaten, stepped on, chewed on, dumped out, dunked in the potty, spilled, slapped, stinkified, climbed on, or flying through the air. I am reading up on what the "experts" say is the best way to handle these situations but for the most part I just do my best not to laugh because most of the time I think it's hilarious! How can someone as cute and adorable as him be so messy and cranky? Ah well, I love him mess and all.
(I didn't want that protein bar anyways)
(ummm, CUTEST hat at Old Navy, so sad we couldn't take it home with us)
