50% OFF

I just posted pictures and a list of all the Whippy stuff I have left and it will ALL be 50% off while supplies last. There isn't much left so Check it out!

Return of the Terror

Kingston is Home! (Which is why I haven't had time to post, lol) I couldn't wait to hang out with my guy so we took him to the park by our house. Kingston mostly just wanted to dig his fingers into the sand but he also liked the swing and the sea horse.

Notice how Bret and KB are making the same face. Haha
Happy Boy!
He always points and says what he is looking at like dog, car, bike etc. Lots of those at the park so lots of pointing.
I was worried he would forget how to sleep in his big boy bed while he was gone. His first nap home he got out of bed, pulled out all his toys and then got back in bed and took his nap. I know, I am soooo lucky!

Pea Pod

Kasha brought Jack over to visit last week and I got to hold him! He is so ity bity, I just love him! I tried to take him off her hands for a while but she wasn't interested. We put him in one of London's Pea Pods and had to take a picture. These little snuggly sacques are the perfect swaddleing solution for infants and are REALLY cute. My sister is selling them for $25 and you can get them in whatever color you like. You can even do a matching beanie for $5 more! Kasha already ordered one for 'lil Jack and I ordered a bunch! Let me know if you might like to order one for your little sweet pea.
Thanks Kasha for sharing Jack with me! I need him.

Small guy doing big things...

Kingston is my growing little boy, he doesn't grow so much in size but he is already onto to big boy things. We are so lucky that Kingston has been all about moving on and growing up. We're hoping it will make things easier when London arrives. Once he starts something new he doesn't look back. When we took away his bottle he never missed it for a minute. I was worried he was going to be too attached to it but he could care less. We also took away his crib and got him a toddler bed. I thought I was going to have to go through weeks of all nighters putting him back in bed and cleaning up what ever trouble he made behind closed doors. He was SOOO excited about the change, the first few days he played in his room with all the new open space. He climbed in and out of his bed and jump up and down on it, he was just so cute. The good news is he took to his new sleeping arrangements perfectly. He actually likes to go to bed and he almost always stays in it the first time and then when he wakes up he plays in his room by himself until he is ready to come out and then he will knock on the door for us to let him out. It's so great! We took a little video of him getting into bed but of course he didn't want to cooporate while we were recording it. Haha.

Don't Panic

If you ever get in your car and find and interesting stick on the hood and it starts to move don't panic... I already did. I didn't realize I was such a sissy until this creepy stick on my hood started mutating and doing weird things. Rennai had to keep me calm because I was too afraid to drive while it was on my hood. I mean a stick big could probably easily smash through my windshield and attack me or even open up the passenger door and climb right in to bite me or somethign. Luckily I kept my head about me and drove as fast as I could out of my parking lot until it splattered onto my window. EWE!

The Great Divorce

Any of you who have tapped into the wonderful world of C.S. Lewis know what I mean when I say "Woa!" I don't know why I waited so long to get started on his collection. The Great Divorce is the first I've read and I am hooked. I fell in love with his imagery and captivating & eloquent dialog. This book really made me rethink my views on Heaven and Hell and how we "chose" one or the other. Each character in this book depicts so many typical attitudes and lifestyle we take on ourselves and how our attitude enevitably decide where we end up. I was ashamed and humbled as I recognized a little of myself in some of the characters who just weren't interested in staying in "heaven". The book is far too complex to get into so I simply suggest you read it for your self. If anything you will be smarter from his dynamic vocabulary and the conversations that take place in the book. I truly wish adults still had such sophisticated conversations in our day. I annoy myself so much now when I find myself using my favorite words such as freaking, sucks, and holy crap. My goals from this book are to broaden my vocabulary, change which characters of the book I personafy and STOP using caddy and trashy phrases. (old habits die hard so stop me if you catch me in the act). Overall I'd like to find a way to remember the lessons in this book daily to keep myself from forgetting my true purpose in this tempory stage of God's great plan! I'm so grateful to have books, talks and music to reroute me when I sway to far. We are seriously so lucky to be in an age where these resources are so readily available to us. It should make living the gospel so much easier and yet I still feel so far from where I need to be. Urgh!

Baby Mama Shoot (finally)

My amazingly TALENTED friend Rennai did my maternity shoot this year. I wanted to do something funky and different with London to set the pics apart from my maternity pics of Kingston. I must say Rennai delivered exactly what I wanted! We had fun putting together my crazy outfit for this urban shoot. I love all of them so I had a hard time picking just a few to post so I apologize about the dump load of photos. Anyways, 5 more weeks till I get to hold my Lady London. Ahhhhh! Can time go by any SLOWER?!?!

Tweet Tweet, mother nesting...

I must be in my nesting stage of this pregnancy (Bret is hopefully enjoying it too). I have been trying out new recipes and organizing our house to make room for London. AND I have started making a few things for her FINALLY. My friend Dani was just commenting that I haven't been fair to her compared to all the things I made for Kingston. I wasn't planning on doing a nursery or changing Kingston's room for London because we are probably going to move as soon as Bret graduates after she is born but I decided it might be a fun distraction to mess around with. Anyways, since I like re-creating things and I have a really small room to work with I found this awesome vintage cradl and gave it a face lift. Then I made a bed skirt and some curtains to tie in our ugly green chair. I don't like the curtains just yet so I need to mess with them some more and then I want to make a blanket for the cradle. Actually I might add a few other things to the room to bring everything together but this is what I got for now.

Free Stuff

I have a brown Nikon Coolpix camera and 250gb free agent hard drive I am giving away for free. HOWEVER, they are BOTH defective. The power works on both but for some reason they don't work right :( So if you are an electronics junky or like to take things apart and fix things you can have them. If not I am throwing them away.

Are You Expecting?

I just realized so many of my friends are expecting! I have to say my favorite news is NEW mommy news. Probably because I know how much fun it is to have a baby and how great life is because of babies. Anyways, I wanted to do a little poll to see exactly how many of our friends are expecting, so if you have a sec. please leave a comment with your due date, what number baby this is for you, if you know what you are having or of course if you just had a baby.

Also, it might be fun to start a forum or something amongst the mommies... I don't know about other pregnant mommies but when the bun is in the oven I need a lot to distract me and keep me busy or I just can't stand the waiting! So if you would be interested in a pregnancy/baby forum let me know and we can start one!

Tiny Dancer

I don't know who caught this for us but it is soooo funny. Look out SYTYCD.

Happy Birthday Bret and Chad!

We celebrated Bret and Chad's Birthday while we were all in Eagar.
They requested Oreo Ice Cream Dessert. Chad turned 29 and Bret is 27!
Bret insisted on have all 27 candles on his side but Chad was ok with his C.
Earlier that day Lisa and the guys went sledding. There was too much snow to get anywhere but they ran into some people we know on the way so they got a few good runs in.
Bunch of Rough and Tough looking guys!

Christmas!

We had so much fun Christmas day we forgot to take very many pictures. I will still give a brief breakdown...

5:30am- wake up by myself cuz I am big and can't sleep, so I take a bath.
8ish - Wake up again but with everyone else, time to open presents! I was pretty anxious to give Bret all is presents.

Kingston was here and there with all the wrapping paper and presents but he was still cute. We didn't have many presents for him to open anyways because his daddy bought him some educational reading books, dvd's, flash cards etc. I think we ended up putting him down for a nap in the middle of everything.

The gift giving started out great when Barry gave us our own HOT CHOCOLATE maker! I love hot chocolate and milk steamers and the machine he gave us makes both plus lots more. I use it almost everyday now. (Thanks Barry!)

I thought I was going to be the coolest wife ever this year because I worked hard and saved up and got Bret lots of really awesome gifts but as you all know he blew me out of the water with the necklace he gave me with London's name on it. However, he is pretty excited about his P90x collection with the dumb bells and iron gym. I also got him clothes, money for a suit, a new wallet, ASU propaganda, a football and of course the wii. I was taken care of too with some delicious shampoo, my jewelry, new clothes, movies, a poker set (which I begged Santa for) A FREAKIN sweet griddle (which I have already used!) and the Wii fit. We also got some pretty great gifts from Bret's parents. They take good care of us. Chad got me some awesome pink house socks and my new FAVORITE book, Broken Things to Mend by Jeffery R. Holland. Bret and I have been reading it together. It is really a great book to start a new year with. I will be posting from it frequently, I know it.

10:30ish - Big breakfast with snowman pancakes and HOT CHOCOLATE!

afternoon - more wii, poker, and of course another Ping Pong tournament.

7pm - Shelley and the girls put together this most BEAUTIFUL dinner. We ate like royalty for sure.

Then games and movies the rest of the night. Kingston was especially attatched to Barry. He was so clingy and cuddley with him for some reason. SO cute though!

Christmas Eve

Christmas at the Crosby's is like nothing else. Non-stop games, food and fun! I am still recovering....

On Christmas Eve we cheated and opened one of our presents up early. Bret was 100% AGAINST the idea but the Wii ended up being one of our main sources of entertainment that day. I am not a gamer by any means but the Wii opens up all kinds of doors to big fun and some really funny/embarrassing photo and video opportunities. I am hooked on the Wii Fit, I love how it tracks how much I work out on it and it actually made my muscles hurt from using it. (I am such a wuss) Bret eventually broke down and played too, his fav is Mario Kart.

The guys had multiple Ping Pong tournaments. Everything turns into a competition at the Crosby's. I wasn't up to par in the beginning but I quickly became the cometitive type myself.
One of the many times the Family is sitting down to pig out... Shelley makes the best food ever!
me and my shwwweetie! Love him, He loves me...
Tami is the giver of the family, here she is giving me a back rub. I am just glad I do hair so I have something to trade for her soothing massages. (love you Tammers!)
Shelley works hard every year to make matching jammy pants for everyone each year. This year she had 3 extras to make (Kirk, Barry and Kingston). Aren't they so great! Busy Girl.
I stand out like a smurf... and I don't mean my blue shirt :( (note to self NEVER stand next to Lisa in pictures. lol)
Awe, Christmas is so fun when you share it with the ones you love. (specially kids, I can't wait till next year when we will have TWO!)
When I said Christmas at the Crosby's was fun it was a bit of an understatement. I can't picture another group of adults acting this silly, ON CAMERA!
Again, with the competition, the guys had to out do the girls in both height and acrobatics...

This is right before I got on top of the Pyramid. (jk mom)
Cute little treasure trolls.... you know what I am talking about.
