Are you for REAL!?!?!

This Christmas was INCREDIBLE and I have some pretty fantastic pictures and posts to make about our holiday bliss but of course no time right now.... BUT I've been dying to share this one little thing...

I received some pretty amazing gifts this year but there is one that is particularly special to me. Bret was pretty excited for Christmas to come so he could give me this gift so I knew it was going to be something AWESOME, little did I know how awesome. So there I am sitting with him and ALL his family opening my gift with the enthusiasm of a little kid. I open this little box to find a necklace inside (see image below) and when I read what the necklace says I freak out and the only words I get out are " ARE YOU FOR REAL!?!". Meanwhile everyone else is anxiously asking what it is, only I can't speak. So I hold it up CRYING, and then Lisa, Kari and Tami are crying and yah, I still can't talk. Hugs though, and kisses too, for my super sweet husband for giving me what I wanted in the sweetest way. This goes without saying but I AM THE LUCKIEST GIRL EVER!
So our baby girl's name will be London ily Crosby :)

p.s. if you know Bret or I you know how stubborn we both are and what a HUGE gesture this gift was on his part. I guess he will always be one step (make that a few steps) ahead of me on the road to perfection.

Boys will be Boys

We had our family Christmas dinner last night at my brother Kory's house. It was pretty great to see all the nephews {except Dysen :( }Play together. We had them all line up for a picture. Seriously some good looking kids. I can't believe I have one in the lineup now, it's so crazy!
Names Left to right: Brayden, Ethan, Jace, Keaton, Kylar, Grant, Garrett, Kingston. (one nephew is missing cuz he lives in Utah)

Elsie is the baby giving the boys a beat down.

Favorite things in December

1. The New John Bytheway Collection. {life changing talks}

2. Pizza from Costco {gotta be careful with how often I got there}

3. Chocolate Milk shampoo {next best thing to chocolate milk you can drink}

4. Will Smith Movies. {needs no explaining}

5. Twilight Soundtrack {cuz one good soundtrack leads to many others}

Still Hunting...

Bret and I still have not come to an agreement on a name for our little Honey Bee so I am calling in all reinforcements to contribute any before she makes her debut. {Just so you know London, Story, Bentley, and Presley are the names we disagree on} I guess we shouldn't be so stubborn but neither of us wants to budge so we gotta keep thinking up new names till we get the right one. Who knows, maybe I will give into Story just so she can have a name lol.

Anyways, leave a comment if you think of something we might like.

Best Pregnancy Post ever!

My friend Kasha is due in less than a month and just made the following post on pregnancy tips on her blog. I'm still laughing from reading it. If you've ever been pregnant, are pregnant or want to be you should read it. So funny.

Mr. Smarty Pants

I'm kinda annoyed because there are two other videos of him signing that won't upload so I will just have to try later :(

Copy Cat

I cut Rennai's hair drastically last week and instantly wanted to cut mine the same way! She looks so awesome, the pictures just don't do her justice. Unfortunately Bret and I had this little arrangement where I wasn't allowed to cut my hair as long as he let me cut his my way... Well, I pretty much couldn't handle not cutting my hair after I fell in love with Rennai's so I broke our little deal (sorry babe).

I knew if I didn't do it today I probably wouldn't do it at all because today is pretty much my only free day this week so I bugged two friends of my friends who do hair to get one of them to do it for me today. Here is the before picture of my plain long hair on my head....
Here is my plain long hair on the floor and not my head.
Here is me takingawkward pics of my stinkin' awesome hair. I am not being conceited cuz i know the pictures are blah but the cut is AWESOME. (Thanks Brittney Hatch) and thanks Rennai for letting me copy you, lol.

I can't wait to mess with it and style it diff. ways. I forget how much I LOVE having short hair! Bret was so sad when he first saw it... or at least he pretended to be until 5 minutes later when he gave up his phasode and confessed how much he LOVES it too. He is so sweet. Gotta love him!

Kingston's Fish

Kingston got some cool stuff for his birthday to get him all set up with his own fish to stare at and enjoy. He never gets tired of looking at them so we're so glad he got some fishies.

My Honey Bee...

I had another routine ultrasound last week and got some new pictures of my honey bee. Rennai came with me to hold Kingston and be my support. I didn't expect to get so excited about seeing her. I know I sound so corny but I think she looks so beautiful and I want her to come out now so I can hold her and meet her and look at her. For her sake I am willing to wait of course, I want her to be healthy and strong and happy.

Bret thinks the picture looks like blah but I think she is gonna look like me! (maybe it's just wishful thinking).

I am so excited about our surprise package. I know we conceived unexpectedly because Heavenly Father knew how much I would want another baby right now so he put things in order in advance so I could have the best life ever, or something like that.... It's gonna be so much fun if I can just make it through the next 2 months!

I have a 1yr old?

Woa now, I have a 1 year old, when did that happen? I feel like the year just snuck up on me out of now where. Kingston has made this last year the best year of my life. Everything about him just makes me crazy with happiness. He can be a little stink but I still love that too. He is so smart and independant now. It's easy to see how lucky we are.

His birthday party had a few hiccups to start with but worked out non- the less. All of his cousins from az were there and lots of aunts, uncles and grandma's and grandpa's. Kingston probably didn't catch on to the fact that the whole day was for him but he liked it non the less.

We had yummy monster cupcakes and fun prizes for the kids including a piniata. I had a few 2, 3, or 4 cupcakes myself.

This was kingston's cake to destroy and eat. (He is our little monster so we kind of went with the monster theme.)

He held back a little at first....

Then he just kinda gobbled it down...

We are so grateful to everyone who could come and for all his great gifts! He has been enjoying them big time. Anyways, Birthdays are pretty great and so are little 1 yr olds. I highly recomend it.

Marriage Speculation

I remember when I was single and home for Christmas one year. Let's see, I was just about to turn 23 (my birthday is December 3oth) so it was Christmas of 2004. Mom sat me down face to face, looked me square in the eye and said "Bret, 23 is great age to get married." Wow said I. Unfortunately for Mom but fortunately for me I got married when I was 24 to the most amazing girl ever. Most definitely worth the wait.

So why do I tell this story? Well, I have 3 single siblings. Lisa, age 25; Reed, fresh off a mission in July, age 21; Tami, the baby of the fam, age 19. My sister Kari, age 23 got married last month, which got me thinking, I wonder who will be next. Lisa has been dating an awesome guy for like 6 months. Tami is getting more serious with her high school sweetheart, and I hear Reed is bringing home a little lady for Christmas. Since I am the married older brother I get to speculate, pressure, tease, and yes even post a poll on a blog to vote about who we think will get married next. So if you know the three candidates, I'd like to see what "the public" thinks about the situation. Cast your votes and leave any comments if you'd like to justify your prediction.

I didn't forget...

I didn't forget to write down my thanksgivings, I just haven't had time to blog them. So here they are...

11. I am thankful Whippy Cake because it makes it possible for me to help out with finances, especially for the holiday season.

12. For music! Especially Christmas Music even though Bret won't let me listen to it until after Thanksgiving.

13. Those really sweet commercials where people help out other people. Sometimes I need to be reminded that not all the world is bad.

14. Text messaging. (this one is for you Brit) because I really do depend on texting in many situations.

15. Umm. Paypal, Hello! One of the greatest things invented since google.

16. Chistmas lights, nothing brings the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights. I can't help but think of how pretty they are and hoe they draw you in JUST like the LIGHT of Christ.

17. Twilight the Movie. Even a low budget film with some cheesy acting and special effects is enough to make me wanna see it over and over again. I'm not ashamed.

18. My car, I know it's funny looking my i truly like my Scion even more than my bug. and $20 for one tank of gas that will last me two weeks is pretty much unbeatable. I am so lucky to have it thanks to my sweetie!

19. Tithing, I can't help but know that all of our financial blessings are a direct result of tithing, especially since Bret has been in school.

20. Thankful that Buddy's boat flooded my camera and killed it because I got a new one that is WAAAY better and I LOVE it! It just goes to show that just because something bad happens doesn't mean something good won't happen in return.

21. I have some pretty awesome sisters! They are always there to help me out, hang out and talk to. What more could I want.

22. Babysitters! I only have one child right now yet I feel that if I didn't have awesome people to take him off my hands once in a while I would NEVER get anything done.

23. The magical world of Disney. Why I waited to go to Disneyland till I was 24 i just don't know but I am going back! Soon i hope!

24. Hookups. I wouldn't have been able to go to Disneyland if we didn't have awesome friends to take us and hook us up big time. (more to come later)

25. Weddings. Having the chance to witness a sealing in the temple is a special thing that is amazing to experience. I am Thankful for Kari's new AWESOME husband and I'm thankful I could be there and feel the intense spirit in the LA temple despite the chaos and turmoil taking place around it. What an awesome experience it was to be there and what a perfect wedding.

26. Arizona Traffic. Yes, that's right, after sitting in LA traffic I hope to never complain about traffic in az because it's just not that bad compared.

27. Baths. The only way I know how to wind down from a crazy day. And I will add Bath and Body works to this one since It's even better with Bubble Bath.

28. Kingston is walking. FINALLY. He was being stubborn and frustrating me but now he is on the move... all the time. So I hope that means no more knee stains and dirty hands and feet.

29. Thanksgiving with the Crosby's. Woa what an understatement. I LOVE Eagar, games, food and the Crosby's, so when I get them all together I am happy. I had such an awesome experience.

30. I am thankful for Bret's Thanksgiving family devotional. Bret sure knows how to bring the spirit into a home. We had a special family meeting and the things that were shared by everyone have really touched me for good and left me with the desire to strive for greatness and gratitude all the time. It was the perfect way to end Thanksgiving and to start this most special month where we celebrate the birth of Christ. I am so giddy about it I just can't help it! I have the coolest guy(s) alive.

In Loving Memory

"Joseph B. Wirthlin, the oldest living apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, died last night, age91

Elder Wirthlin had gone to bed at his Salt Lake City home, and died peacefully at about 11:30 od causes incident to age. His oldest daughter, Jane Wirthlin Parker, was present. A member of the family had been staying and caring for Elder Wirthlin, whose wife, Elisa Young Rogers Wirthlin, died in 2006.

He had continued to work at his office right up until the Thanksgiving holiday.

Just got this from the LDS Newsroom. I am happy he is with his sweetie and expect to hear many great and special stories from his life in the weeks to follow.
