Nice assist

it's like he is intentionally trying to impress Bret.

I love to date

Bret and I took Kingston out with us on a date to Tempe Marketplace. It was so nice to walk around outside and enjoy the live music and good weather. Everything was mostly closed so we investigated the book store.

Kingston likes books that make noise. Vroom vroom!

We got a bunch of baby name books to hunt for just the right one... no luck yet but you can see Bret enjoyed looking very much.

Future Book worm.

Playing tag with daddy in the QUIET book store. Good idea.

A glimpse at Glimpse

A friend from church just told me about this new all natural skin care line that she sells and asked me if I wanted to host a facial party to showcase this NEW skin care line. I can invite up to 6 people so if you think you might be interested let me know. I LOVE facials and am always looking for something to keep my skin healthy. Let me know if you are interested in coming. Thanks!

Day 8, 9 and 10

Day 8, I spent all day Saturday driving all over the valley to a baby shower, birthday dinner, scentsy party, game night and graduation bbq for friends of mine. Although it did a number on my gas tank I have to say it was crazy hectic and most ENJOYABLE day. I have such good friends and family who are good people and fun to be with and I consider that a major blessing in my life. I'm so thankful for the friends in my life.

Day 9: I dearly love to laugh. I am thankful for all the things that make me laugh or spreads laughter to others. That includes Brian Regan, funny emails, good stories on peoples blogs, good 'ol jokes and of course comedies! Laughing is so fun and very good for you. So have a laugh today.

Day 10: I am thankful when I am productive. It feels so good to get things done. I always have so many things to do ALL the time I feel like I can never get it all done in time. But when I accomplish just a few things what a good feeling it gives me and "OH!" surprise I am motivated to do even more! Yeah for being productive.

The Time Has Come...

Bret and I have finally come to terms with the fact that we have outgrown our house. SO, we are renting our condo out and looking for something BIGGER. I created a blog with picture and details for our condo and would absolutely appreciate it if you could tell anyone you know about it. Also, We would love to help someone out by renting their home so if you know of someone looking for renters please let us know as we are interested. Thanks so much for all of your help in advance.

Click HERE for details on our home for rent.

Baby Boy Stuff

I have a huge bag of RANDOM baby boy clothes and items. If you are expecting, just had a baby or are trying to email or call me and you can come over and take what you want. I will probably donate it all in a week or two if not. So come check it out!

About my pregnancy..

Sadly I haven't posted much about being pregnant the second time around. I know with Kingston I must have posted every little detail. This pregnancy has been so much different considering it was unexpected. So here is an update to all those who have been asking AND a picture of my belly!

I definitely did NOT throw up as much with this baby as i did with Kingston. Kingston was 10 times a day and this one was maybe 10 times total. I was SUPER tired. I could not sleep enough and barely had motivation to do anything. I noticed I started showing a LOT sooner with this baby as am I bigger. This could also be because I never made it to the gym after Kingston was born. (that's right people, it's been since 2006 that my face has been seen in fitness center) For the first 4 months all I wanted to eat was candy, sugar cereal and ice cream and fresh fruit. Now I still want all those with onion blossoms, wings and steaks. I am just barely starting to eat salads agin and other things. My poor child might come out a diabetic. Also, I've noticed I am WAY more moody and impatient than I ever was with Kingston (sorry Bret). I have had a lot of help from sisters and friends who offer to take Kingston on my bad days (life savers!!!). I'm very forgetful these days too, especially with dates and names and anything that happened 5 minutes ago. I hated hamburger with Kingston AND this baby so no Big Macs for me, I DO hit up the soft serve though... man I am thinking a diet and discipline is gonna be especially hard after I deliver. I blame myself.
Hmmmm? Baby is a little bit on the smaller side but really healthy. My doctors say she looks great in all areas so we are very happy and fortunate. We are planning to have a c-section since there are few doctors who will do vaginal deliveries on c-section mommies. So our date is February 20th as of right now which is the day bret starts his "spring Break" so he will get to be with mommy and baby for the first week and then back to the books :( We still don't have a name picked out since we don't agree on our first choices. Feel free to post your name ideas, you never know which names we'll like! Although, there was a super shock stage at first I am SOOOO excited for this baby and know that Kingston will be the most helpful big brother ever. I think God new what he was doing with our family because everything is falling into place nicely. I hope time goes by fast so we can meet her already! Anyways, that's about all I can think of right now.

Family Photos

We went out and took some family pictures with some friends of ours. Buddy and Sara Haws and their two kids snapped some shots of us and I did their family shoot in return. We wanted to get them done early this year since we didn't our pictures mailed out in time last year. Kingston was a pretty good boy for most of the pictures too. The sweaters are deceiving though because it was HOT!

I posted some images I took of Kingston on my PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG and will soon post the pictures I took of the Haws as well. I have time this year to do more family shoots if your wanting to get your family in. I am doing a cheap package deal for a Family Shoot & Christmas Card included. You can call or email me if you're interested. (I am willing to trade services for a Shoot as well)

Good Doggy

I had Rennai and some of her family over the other day doing hair and Kingston was playing with their little Anabell and for some reason when we would give him crackers he would put them on the floor and eat them like a dog. I had some funky setting on the video so it's squished into 3 seconds instead of 30 seconds but you get the idea. I have no idea why he was doing it but he had us all laughing pretty hard.

Day 7

This morning I woke up to the sound of little giggles. Kingston was chasing Je Suis around our bed, laughing all the while. His laugh is one of my favorite sounds in the world. How can you not have a good day when it starts with the laughter Kingston. (oh and Bret got him up, changed and fed him, so double bonus!) I feel like all of a sudden he is not a baby any more. He's my buddy and I love to make him happy. I'm thankful that he loves everyone and will go to anyone so we can go to the temple and other things with out having to worry. And I am thankful when he misses me too. Man I love the kid!

Day 4 & 5

Yesterday {Nov. 4th} I spent the second half of my day handicapped on my couch from some freak sciatic nerve thing. Not only did Bret sympathize over my unexplained weird nerve thing but he totally took care of me. "babe, will you heat this hot pack?" and "babe, can you turn of that light?" "will you hand me that?" and lots of "babe, can you help me get up?" Poor guy was practically my slave all night when he was the one at work all day. I am so thankful for my superman husband who takes care of me my odd pregnancy side effects. I don't deserve him.

{Nov 5th} There comes a day in every pregnancy when you wake up, look in the mirror and declare "holy COW I am huge!!!". Poor Bret has had to listen to me complain about my self esteem for the last two weeks because of this realization. Today, I am thankful for something I have been resenting. My "big fat belly" {as I refer to it every day} keeps my baby girl healthy and safe. Because of my "big fat belly" Bret and I spend special moments feeling her kick and move. Because of my "big fat belly" Kingston and I have Tummy Drum time. Because of my "big fat belly" I'm getting exactly what I want, so Welcome BELLY! I am thankful for you!

{slap me if I complain about my belly again.}

Gross you out, or make you smile.

Kingston and I discovered a magical new way to grocery shop! I've seen these little buggy carts before but never wanted to use one because they are so HUGE. Well we parked right next to one so I gave it a try. H E L O V E D I T. He was so happy the whole time in his cool car, even with how sick he has been. And bonus, i didn't run into anything. The car is a must from now on whenever possible if it keeps him happy and awake.

Sometimes it's ok to spoil him with a treat because he's so cute!

I won't tell you what this is but if your a parent chances are, you know...

Want to Learn Photoshop???

I've had several friends ask me if I would teach them how to understand and use photoshop, so many that it would be more sensible to host a class then try to teach them all individually. If you have Photoshop or plan to get it and are interested in learning how to use it let me know. I plan to teach a 4 hour class on how to understand the PS interface as well as popular effects and basic tools to vamp up your personal photos. I also plan on including a disk with digital paper, embelishments, brushes, borders and more to get you started on your own digital scrapook. I'm charging $25 for the class and cd as well as some addition helpful material. You will simply need a laptop and your own version of PS already installed and some scratch paper to take notes if you wish. The location is dependant on how many more individuals sign up and the date(s) also depends on who is attending.

Email or call me (becki) if you're interested in signing up as soon as possible even if you are not 100% positive. Thanks all!

Day 3 - My sweet Boy

My sweet boy is growing up so fast. I LOVE hanging out with him everyday and watching him get smarter everyday. Sometimes he mimics things we do and somethings he just does all by himself. He can stand and sometimes walks {only when HE wants to}. He can sign a few words now and can says Mama, ball and dog. He is so curious about everything and always seems to figure out the way things work on his own. Mmmmh I just can't get enough. I truly am so thankful for him in my life.

He tires of shopping really fast.
One day he just decided he wanted off the couch and got down without any help or me showing him how. Scary, I know.

Halloween

For Halloween we went to our ward Trunk or Treat Party where individuals decorate their trunks and passes out candy to trick or treaters. Since Kingston is to young to trick or treat we decorated our own trunk. Behind our House of Horrow we held several bowls of grossly textured food for the kiddies to touch and feel them. We told the kids they were touch eyeballs, fingers, worms, and brains even though it was really just noodles, olives, baby carrots and mushy marshmellows. It was a lot of work but hopefully the kids liked it.

We were going to be Mario & Luigi but Bret only wanted to be an old man. So He was a dirty old man and I was his pregnant gold diggin' girlfriend. Goody for me, I got to be the punchline in all his dirty old man jokes. It was pretty funny, for everyone but me. Oh well, at least I got to hide in the back of the car most the night.
Afterward we went to Barry's house to hang out with him and Lisa and his hilariously dressed roommates. We didn't get a chance to take a picture of Kingston in his costume because it was to darn hot to keep him in it all night and our good friend Shye so sweetly took the pictures of us at the end of the night when he was out of his attire. I will try and find a way to take one of him though because it's sooo cute!

Autumn in Utah

I had the chance to fly to Utah for 11 days while Bret battled finals in his masters program of Accounting. I don't have many pictures because my camera kicked the bucket but it was a very relaxing much needed Break. I got to spend time with my mom, dad and my brother and sister and my favorite twin brother in the world. I can't believe how beautiful and wonderful it is there. The only thing that brought me back to the sweltering heat in az was my Sweetie pie. I hated leaving him for so long but it helped him to stay focused and study hard for his tests. It must have worked because he got A's and B's in his classes! Yeah! One semester down two to go.

As you can see Kingston is a big fan of flying. He helped himself to a window seat on the plane in a lap of stranger from Scottsdale.

he also got a nice taste of sweets in a long ride through the canyon.

I love spending time with this little yummy bear!

I already miss my family in Utah :( I can't wait to go back!

Lake Trip

I'm a 'lil bit behind on our posting. We went to the lake a few weeks ago with some friends from Round Valley {Buddy & Sara, Trey & Lauren, and Devin and Nicole}. It was a nice vacation from our kid and of course since it was October the weather was nice and HOT and SUNNY. Sadly these are the only two pictures we took before our camera was killed by an unexpected wave. We had so much fun though. We stayed up way past our bedtime and played games, ate junk food and of course played all day on the lake. Thank you Crosby's for letting us use the Lake house and Buddy for providing the awesome boat! We need to get together again!

November 2nd

Jeeze, I am so thankful for Tony Melendez, who is so cool. I am so thankful for all the individuals who have challenges like him and still chose to make a difference and set such a good example to me. What a powerful message and what a motivation for myself to kick it into gear. I am thankful that I have hands and feet and the ability to do anything I want because of them.

Thanksgiving Challenge

I really liked the idea Shye has going on her blog about posting something I am Thankful for each day of November, so I am taking on her challenge...

November 1st: Today, I was especially thankful that I could wake up before Bret for once so I could make him Breakfast and do something nice for him for a change. He is usually gone before Kingston or I even wake up and he gives up so much every single day for our family. He is a machine so anything I can do to make it up to him is GREAT. I hope this challenge will keep me doing more and more for him and help me appreciate all the madness he goes through for me and our kids.

143 Babe!
