Rooty tooty aim and scooty!

I get so excited when he learns to do new things. Ever since he learned to roll over he has been all over the place in his crib, swing and on the floor and NOW he is scoot'n like an inch worm to get to things. I LOVE it even though that means he can scoot his way into trouble now. I wonder if he will be able to crawl by the time he is 6 months...

This is Daddy and King's favorite game. Kingston can stay up for a really long time now. I think Bret enjoys it more...Honestly, who eats like this? Silly billy!

His giggle could seriously cause global warming.

My 20 seconds of fame

So I got hooked up with D-backs tickets again from Infusion. Becki wanted to go so bad with me again but she thought it would be nice to share the tickets ;-) so I took my good buddy Caleb Hammond. Well the game was a blowout, we lost 11 -3. But we decided to stay until the very end cuz you never know what might happen at a ball game...like a homerun from Mark Reynolds hit barely over our heads! It was coming straight towards us and just landed 5 rows behind us. Go to this link: http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200805292792090
and watch for me in a white hat and red d-backs shirt on the right side of the screen. Pause the video at 7 seconds and you can totally see me. Oh yeah, I'm famous.

New Friends Unite

One of my best friends was in town from Las Vegas with her new baby Luke. Adorable! Luke is so big and King is so small they are just about the same size only Luke is 7 weeks and K is almost 6 months. King was so happy to see Luke. We have a video of K practically crawling on top of Luke giggling while he tried to grab his face. So funny. They are BFF already. We went through 2 giant bags of boy clothes sorting through what would fit which baby at the right time of year. Oh and Crystal showed me the Maraka clip from SNL. Hahaha!

water aversion

My neighbor Dani and I took our kids to the zoo again. It was so HOT but I always enjoy it and king likes the stroller a lot. They have this fountain area for kids with water shooting out the ground. Lately King has been freaking out around any kind of water but I thought I would try it out anyways. I can't say he enjoyed it but we'll keep trying. You can't live in Arizona and hate water... it's just not right! Is that the sweetest sad face in the world or what?!?!

Say cheese

Kingston had his picture taken with an ultrasound machine. He was such a good boy the whole time. All the nurses and techs had little girl crushes on this flirtatious boy. He has a lump on his left shoulder blade/underarm area so his pediatrician recommended that we get it looked at.

A Stand-up guy

He is at the stage where he likes to play in his crib when he wakes up. Of course he can't stand up by himself. Still cute though.

Buddy Boys

Banana Mana

This guys first time eating solids. Pretty funny stuff.

Big Deal = Big Post

My sister Elisha told me a while back that Stephanie Meyer was coming to Tempe May 13th for The Host book tour. [if you don't already know who she is you probably won't care for the rest of this post]. So my sister gave me the number to call and pre-order my copy of The Host and a ticket to meet Stephanie!I literally would have missed the whole thing because I totally forgot until the day of, luckily i remember last minute. On her website she has pictures of people from her previous book tours wearing homemade Twilight shirts. Ever since I have wanted to sport one to represent what a Twi-hard I am. So this is my last minute T-shirt.
Lets face it... It's the truth!
The auditorium was PACKED with Stephanie Meyer's readers.
They were everywhere!!!
They were serving CUPCAKES. Oh yah! Believe it-

I went with my Two sisters, Elisha and Carli and Baby K of course!Elisha might be a bigger fan than I but it's too close to tell.

I mean, I was the one wearing the shirt... jk
So after all the fans filtered in Stephanie Meyer gave a little speech and answered some of the fans questions. It was pretty casual and laid back which i liked. I really enjoyed hearing more about how she though up The Host and it's characters because that book is seriously "different". After she was done talking they started the line for autographs which was done alphabetically by the Letter on each ticket. Kingston hooked me up with a shortcut to the front of the line. No seriously. I was just holding him and someone asked me if I wanted to be escorted to the front of the line. "let me think... um Yes Please!!!" So when I was done I went and took pictures of Carli and Elisha waiting in line. Suckers... jk I waited with them.
The girl can autograph like no other. I'm guessing at least 3000 -4000 books that night but prob more.
She was really nice for the 2 seconds I talked to her. She said how cute Kingston was and complimented my shirt. More than I would expect for someone who has to sign there name a billion times in one night.
Kingston was so sad to leave... hehe
I managed to get 5 books signed while i was there with Carli's help {thanx Car}. It was SO much fun. If she comes back on tour for Breaking Dawn I HIGHLY recommend going.
ps. I will be selling Twilight shirts on my whippy blog now since I had a bunch of request last night. I will probably come up with a few other designs first though.

"Of all the animals in the jungle; a boy is the most wild"

He was making all of these random faces on our bed so I had to get a few on camera. I seriously will never get bored as long as he is with me.

WOa Now!

OK. I finished The Host last night. Here is my run down. I think it's a really awesome book. It kept me interested the whole way through. It is not comparable to The Twilight series because it's a completely different kind of book and story. Twilight is heavy on the romance and The Host is not as much. However, LOVE is very much a factor in this book. Even though Twilight has mythical creatures like vamps and werewolves everything else is relatively normal. The Host is way more "out there" [pun intended]. Stephanie Meyer seriously has a loaded imagination but I really got sucked into it. It's over top and a one of a kind story and did I mention I REALLY liked it. I do like different though so if your a tradition reader don't expect this book to be practical because it's not.

The book really gets your wheels turning... I am still thinking "Woa Mamma!!!" the next day. I recommend waiting to read it until you can honestly give it some attention because it can get if you miss something you miss a lot. I think the first few chapters are pretty confusing and I was wondering what the heck was going on so I was worried the whole book would be like that but the more you read the more things are explained so KEEP reading.

I personally love romance saturated love stories so Twilight is still my favorite but I did like The Host a LOT better than a lot of other books I have read recently. The ending... hmmm I am still undecided about the ending. I also don't know if this is going to be s series, does anyone know if it will be?

So there you have it. Read it for yourself though.

The Host

I am half way through reading The Host [by Stephanie Meyer]. I was hesitant about reading this book but I am heavily into it. It's a fatty of a book but it's so good so far! It's sooooooo long... I can't wait to finish it. Anyways, just thought I would give my feed back about it so far for those who are considering reading it. It's still too soon to compare it to Twilight though so stand by for my next update.

Shout out

My friend Rennai got herself a new camera so she has been wanting to get some more photography experience so we asked her to take some family shots for us. I can't say we were easy models because K baby was not in a photogenic mood. We are gonna try again next week or so.

D-Backs game

My turn to post again. Hmmm, looks like the only time I ever post is when we go to a sporting event. Oh well! So my job is ka-freakin' awesome and hooked us up with free tickets to Monday night's game against the Phillies. We were so excited that Becki went shopping and found sweet D-backs shirts for each of us. The D-backs have the best record in baseball and since our Suns sucked it up in the Playoffs now it's time to divert my attention to our NL West defending Champs.
My boss Sam Blackham and his girlfriend Heather Hall had the other two tickets from Infusion. It was fun getting to hang out with Sam outside of work.
Becki was such a trooper. Even though the game lasted 3 hours she didn't complain and even made it fun. She even heckled the Phillie fans behind us who wouldn't stop chanting "E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles Eagles Eagles!" She stood up and yelled right at them "Shut Up! This is Baseball!" Everyone around us cheered for her. I was so proud.
I cheered as loud as I could but the Phillies had our number this night and won 11-4. It was fun for Becki and I to spend some time together since I was gone most of the weekend at the lake. Thanks Nanna & Pompa for babysitting Kingston for us!
